Inclusive Employment Australia will soon replace Disability Employment Services (DES). It will focus on helping people with disability, illness or injury to prepare for, find and maintain employment.
The Department of Social Services have advised that the current Disability Employment Services (DES) Program will be extended for four months to 31 October. The new start date for Inclusive Employment Australia, the replacement for DES will be 1 November 2025.
DES participants will not need to take any action. This extension ensures participants will continue accessing the same support currently being offered by their providers. Mutual obligations and participant payments requirements will remain the same.
The Inclusive Employment Australia program will help create a more inclusive future where people with disability, as well as those with injury, or health conditions can get support to find jobs and grow their career.
The program places participants at the centre of the service.
It will improve and simplify services for people looking for work, as well as employers and service providers.
