MAX Employment Managing Director, Deborah Homewood with Anna Jenko from Whitelion, Clare Guilfoyle from Grow and John Mendel from Lifeline
A number of western Sydney job seekers, employers and community organisations sat down around a Christmas turkey and plum pudding to officially launch MAX Employment’s 10,000 Jobs for Christmas campaign. The MAX Employment campaign is based around the idea that a job is the greatest gift and aims to achieve 10,000 new job placements for Australian job seekers between 1 October and 31 December 2013, for the third year of the campaign.
MAX Employment Managing Director Deborah Homewood spoke to attendees about the importance of having a job, and how it can often be something that people take for granted.
“What we need to understand is that a job is so much more than just nine to five, Monday to Friday. A job is an income, a job is hope, a job is a social network and an opportunity to learn and to gain confidence."
