MAX Solutions has recently been announced as the Work for the Dole
Coordinator in four regions across Australia. Starting today MAX Solutions will coordinate the Work for the Dole Programme in Cairns, Logan, Nepean/ Outer Western Sydney, and West and North West Tasmania/ Launceston.
MAX Solutions Managing Director, Deborah Homewood said she was looking forward to the company offering services as a Work for the Dole Coordinator.
“It’s a great privilege to be able to help young Australian job seekers, and I’m confident that Work for the Dole will increase their employability skills and help lead to sustainable paid employment. Work for the Dole allows job seekers to spend time in a work-like environment and learn practical skills; as well as establish a routine, meet new people, gain a sense of purpose and give back to the local community,”
said Ms Homewood.
Work for the Dole Coordinators will engage with community organisations, governments and other eligible organisations to source suitable Work for the Dole places. The Australian Government is currently phasing in the Work for the Dole programme in 18 selected areas across Australia, before moving to a national scheme on July 1, 2015.
As part of the programme, job seekers aged 18 and under 30 who are attached to a Job Services Australia provider in these areas that have a Work Experience Activity Requirement will meet their requirements by participating in Work for the Dole for between 12-15 hours a week for six months.
Not-for-profit organisations, local councils and federal and state government agencies interested in hosting a Work for the Dole participant are encouraged to contact Sam Brown at MAX Solutions on 07 3809 5100 or by filling out an enquiry form
