October 2015 marks the start of MAX Employment’s 15,000 Stars for Christmas
Campaign, a nationwide pledge to place 15,000 job seekers into employment this Christmas.
With a deadline of Christmas Eve, MAX Employment sites across the country will set out to uncover 15,000 vacancies for job seekers, and donate a total of $100,000 to four charities.
MAX Employment Managing Director Deborah Homewood said the campaign was their biggest yet, with MAX sites around Australia keen to reach out to more businesses and communities than ever before.
“Last Christmas, we changed the lives of 10,000 job seekers and were thrilled to hit our target. This year we’ve set our sights even higher. We want to help more job seekers, secure more placements, and bring joy to more families this Christmas,”
Ms Homewood said.
In the spirit of giving, Ms Homewood said that four charities will each receive $25,000 to support their work in communities across Australia, totalling an amazing $100,000.
“MAX Employment will donate to several Australian charities this year, each with different but equally worthy causes.
“At MAX, we’re assisting job seekers from all walks of life every day, which is why we have chosen to donate to a number of different charities - organisations that help all kinds of people like those we meet every day, from vulnerable youth, to Indigenous Australians, war veterans, and victims of domestic violence,”
"Charities for this year include the Luke Batty Foundation, Mates4Mates, and Kids Helpline."
MAX Employment will work with local employers, including non-government organisations, charities, and local government, to find and place 15,000 job seekers before Christmas Eve and assist employers to build and retain their workforce with ongoing post-placement support.
“We are excited to create positive, ongoing relationships with employers across the country this Christmas, and assist businesses with their recruitment and workforce planning.
“We want to hear from all kinds of employers. It doesn’t matter if you’re a large or small business, every job counts!”
Ms Homewood said.
